Dedham Police Log: Car Fire, Shoplifting, and More

September 26

4:30 p.m. - Following a crash on Bridge Street, a driver received a citation for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

5:00 p.m. - A cyclist was struck on Washington Street. He went to the hospital on his own.

9:26 p.m . - A woman at CVS received a summons for shoplifting. She was also banned from the store for one year.

September 27

1:59 p.m. - An altercation was reported at Legacy Place.

5:30 p.m. - Barton Hesson, 54, was arrested on Hyde Park Street on a warrant.

6:11 p.m. - A car fire was reported on Route 1

October 1

6:09 p.m. - An officer observed two vehicles turning onto Sprague Street at a high rate of speed. The officer was able to stop the vehicles after watching the second vehicle ride the bumper of the first one. One driver said the other nearly struck their car while the other said she did stop. Both drivers received citations.
