April 4

2:15 p.m. - A car crash was reported on Bridge Street. One driver who had a revoked license received criminal charges

9:24 a.m. - A summons was issued at Stop and Shop for shoplifting.

8:31 a.m. - An accident was reported on Mount Vernon Street. The driver of the vehicle that was told police that the driver of the second vehicle admitted that he went through a stop sign because his brakes failed but left because he was late for work. The driver that left will received a citation for operating with a revoked license.

9:19 a.m. - A car struck a pole on Sherwood Drive.

11:46 a.m. - The animal control officer was dispatched for a report of loose chickens. No chickens were seen. At 1:27 p.m., the officer found chickens in a backyard.

10:41 p.m. - A man at a Dedham bar was taken into protective custody.
