Dedham Police Log: Shoplifting, BB Gun Shoots Through Window, and More

July 4

10:23 a.m. - A business on Washington Street told police that a BB bullet struck and shattered a glass window

12:28 p.m. - A crash with injuries was reported on Lechmere Road. One of the drivers was found to be in violation of his learner’s permit by driving without another license drivers. The driver was issued a summons.

2:40 p.m. - A vehicle break-in was reported at the Dedham Mall.

July 7

9:34 a.m. - During a motor vehicle stop on East Street, a driver with revoked insurance received a citation.

3:56 p.m. - A shoplifter was reported at TJ Maxx on Providence Highway. The woman, Keita Owolabi, 31, was arrested and charged with her third shoplifting offense. Owolabi’s two children who were with her were handed over to a family friend at the store and the Department of Children and Families was notified.

5:47 p.m. - A car crash was reported on High Street. One person was taken to the hospital.

July 9

10:31 p.m. - During a traffic stop on East Street, Mark Gredler, 32, was arrested on a warrant. Gredler, who allegedly failed to stop for a red light, also received a citation.
