Dedham Police Log: Shoplifting, Hit and Run Crash, and More

January 17

4:37 p.m. - A shoplifting incident was reported at the AT&T Store on Route 1. $353 in merchandise was reported stolen.

6:24 p.m. - A hit and run was reported on Village Avenue. The driver of vehicle that was struck said the other vehicle ran a stop sign, struck the vehicle, and drove away. Police located the missing vehicle in Westwood. Police will seek charges against the driver for unlicensed operation and leaving the scene of a crash.

November 18

1:52 p.m. - A person at the Dedham Mall received a summons for shoplifting.

November 19

7:03 a.m. - A vehicle traveling on Sprague Street struck another vehicle turning into an address on the street. A third vehicle waiting to enter the road was also struck. The driver of the first vehicle said he was blinded by a bright light shortly before the crash. All three occupants from the first vehicle were transported to the hospital.
