Dedham Police Log: Shoplifting, Warrant Arrests, and More
The following is from the Dedham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned do not imply conviction.

May 19
6:45 p.m - A walk-in at the station reported a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was purchased but not registered because the reporting party intended to resell it. A person interested in purchasing the vehicle came by the victim’s house at 4:30 p.m. to test drive it but never returned with the vehicle. At 9:45 p.m., the vehicle was recovered by police and the suspect was arrested.

8:16 p.m. - Two shoplifters on Bussey Street were reported. An employee stated that the two females fled with approximately $150 to $200 in merchandise. The two were seen leaving in a Ford Explorer taxi.

2:54 p.m. - A shoplifter was reported at the Dedham Mall. When police asked the suspect for identification, dispatch told the officer that the woman had an outstanding default warrant. The woman, Natasha Brown, 36, was arrested on the warrant.
9:44 p.m. - A shoplifter was reported on Bussey Street.
May 22
7:04 a.m. - An officer responded to Beacon Street for a vehicle entry. The owner of the car stated that her doors were unlocked and a GPS system, gift cards, and an iPhone charger were taken. The woman was advised to remove her valuables and lock her doors.
7:12 a.m. - An officer responded to a vehicle entry on Fairfield Street. An iPhone was taken from the car which was unlocked. The owner was advised to lock his doors.
7:15 a.m. - An officer responded to a vehicle entry on Beacon Street. A checkbook was possibly taken.
3:53 p.m. - An officer responded to a report of malicious damage to a vehicle at the Oakdale School. The owner of the vehicle told police that she was unsure if the damage to her front passenger side window was accidental or intentional. The officer observed a small rock in the glass on the passenger side. No one in the area witnessed the incident.
4:23 p.m. - During a motor vehicle stop on Route 1, Crag Marchand, 40, was arrested on a straight warrant.
May 23
10:25 a.m. - An officer observed a male at a construction site placing crushed stones into a bucket. Upon admitting that he did not have permission to take the stones, the male was told to leave and remain away from the site.
6:31 p.m. - An officer responded to a report of a shoplifter at the Dedham Mall that fled in a car and struck another vehicle. Upon the officers arrival, the suspect admitted that she stole two shirts and was operating the vehicle in question. She said she hit some curbs but not any vehicles. The suspect and a second person will be summonsed to court.
May 24
1:22 p.m. - An officer responded to a report of a shoplifter on Route 1. Upon meeting with an asset protection manager, it was determined that the suspect allegedly attempted to steal multiple bottles of alcohol totaling $654.84. The suspect will be summonsed to court.
