Dedham Police Log: Stolen Flag, Missing Person, and More

January 24

5:44 a.m. - A two-car crash was reported at the intersection of Pine and Needham Streets. One person was taken to the hospital.

January 25

6:35 p.m. - A resident approached an officer at the Endicott Library and told him that a group of kids stole his Patriots flag from his house.

8:04 p.m. - During a patrol around Presidents Way, an officer noticed a vehicle that was running with movement inside the car. The officer asked the occupants to roll down the windows, which they did, releasing a cloud of marijuana smoke, After a glass bong and burnt marijuana was discovered in the car, citations were issued.

8:58 p.m. - During a detail at the Dedham Mall, police noticed a suspicious person loitering. The man said he was waiting for the bus. As he got on the bus, dispatch notified police that the person was missing out of Boston. He was marked as located.
