Dedham Police Log: Stuck Ducks, Vehicle Break-in, and More

May 9

8:50 a.m. - A vehicle break-in on High Street was reported.

4:00 p.m. - A vehicle struck a deer on Common Street.

10:18 a.m. - The animal control officer was dispatched to 800 Providence Highway for ducklings that fell in the drainpipe. The ducks were collected and reunited with their mother.

1:06 p.m. - A larceny was reported at Legacy Place.

3:19 p.m. - A driver on East Street was pulled over for failing to stop at a red traffic signal. The driver received a citation after it was discovered that he had revoked registration due to an insurance cancellation.



May 12

8:26 a.m. - A cat stuck on a roof was reported. Since there was no safe access to the area where the cat was, the owner was advised to call the Animal Rescue League to assist. After the ARL responded, the cat attempted to jump back in the house. The ARL was able to catch the cat as it was sliding down the roof and bring it home.
