Dedham Square Restaurant Gets New Owners

The deli that doubles as a night spot had a recent changing of the guard.

DEDHAM, MA — The deli that doubles as a night spot had a recent changing of the guard.

Matt Caruso of Deli After Dark recently announced on Facebook that new owners will be taking over the Dedham Square restaurant. Caruso's grandfather, Ernie, opened the deli nearly 60 years ago as a butcher shop.

"I would like to thank every single person from the delivery guys, to the staff, to my family and friends, and mostly our customers for almost 60 years. We served everything from baby showers, 30th, 40th, 50th bdays, & wedding anniversaries, retirements, and funerals. The thing that made those events and each and everyday work was the LOYAL, best friend group of people to work with, work for, and serve," Caruso wrote on Facebook.

Assuming ownership of the deli will be a group led by Oakdale Square 7-Eleven owner Ziad Grange. He told the Dedham Transcript that no major changes are planned beyond some tweaks to the menu.
