Dedham Superintendent to Address Middle School Principal Controversy
In an update, Dedham Superintendent Michael Welch also announced the interim leadership at the middle school.

DEDHAM, MA - Dedham Superintendent Michael Welch will address the situation concerning Dedham Middle School Principal Debra Gately tonight.
Welch said he will talk to the media at 6:30 p.m., at Dedham Middle School. This will take place prior to the Dedham School Committee meeting at the Avery Elementary School. No comments will be made during the meeting.
At 12:50 a.m. Sunday, Gately was arrested in Weston and charged with drunken driving. Following the arrest, Gatley was placed on leave while the school district investigates the matter.

During Gatley's absence, Assistant Principal Margo Fraczek will serve as acting principal and Assistant Superintendent Dr. Cynthia Kelly, who is the former middle school principal, will provide additional support.
