Dedham Town Seeks Volunteers

Two vacancies exist on the Dedham-Westwood Water District.

The Town seeks residents who can contribute their time and talent to the following Town bodies that work to advance policies and projects related to accessibility, active modes of transportation (like biking), and Dedham's public water supply.

Two vacancies exist on the Commission on Disability, which strives to promote the full integration and participation of people with disabilities in all activities, services and employment opportunities of the community.

The Active Transportation Working Group seeks a Dedham resident who is a traffic engineer, consultant, developer, regional transportation planning professional, or a citizen with an interest in improving alternative modes of transportation. The group focuses on the many modes of transportation, including walking, bicycling, motor vehicle, public bus, train, and ride-sharing companies.

Two vacancies exist on the Dedham-Westwood Water District. Water Commissioners are responsible for the Public Water Supply System which serves the Towns of Dedham and Westwood. This consists of securing adequate and pure water supplies, financing and construction of all facilities, buildings, tanks, pipes and any works necessary to ensure the collection, pumping, treatment and distribution of water for domestic purposes and fire protection.
