Dedham-Westwood Water District Ups Water Restrictions
Dedham residents can only use water outside on Thursdays.

DEDHAM, MA — The recent heatwave and lack of rain has the Dedham-Westwood Water District asking residents to tighten up their water use.
Residents of the two towns are now under a mandatory Stage I-D modified restriction. Dedham residents can only water outside on Thursdays between 6-9 a.m. and 6-9 p.m.
The public is required to restrict lawn watering to the two time periods and to conserve water in all other practicable ways, the water district said. Handheld hoses may be used for watering flowers, vegetable gardens, and shrubbery without day or hour restrictions.
