Dedham Woman Charged with Possessing Fentanyl-Laced Marijuana

DEDHAM, MA — Three Massachusetts residents, including one Dedham woman, face drug charges in Connecticut.
Jennifer Best, 27, of Weymouth; Marlon Teixeira, 27, of Brockton; and Jennifer Savoie, 29, of Dedham, were arrested Sunday afternoon in Plainfield, Conn. Best and Teixeira were charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of more than a half-ounce of marijuana. Savoie was charged with possession of narcotics, according to the Norwich Bulletin.
At about 3:35 p.m., police on Interstate 395 North pulled over a vehicle with a Massachusetts license plate for numerous driving infractions. After an officer at the scene noticed the odor of marijuana, 33.4 grams of "high-grade" marijuana, seven grams of heroin and $3,508 in cash were allegedly found during a search of the vehicle, police said.

Best admitted that the marijuana was laced with fentanyl, police said.
Best is free on $25,000 bail and Savoie is free on $10,000 bail. Both are scheduled to be arraigned on Aug. 17. Teixeira was ordered held on $75,000 bail and was scheduled for arraignment Monday.
