Dedham's Independance Day Race to Benefit Cancer Research

The "Four on the 4th" race to support local resident battling bone cancer.

Dedham’s 4th of July festivities will be focused on supporting a young resident, Sally Naser, who is battling a rare bone cancer.

The race will take place on July 4, 2015, at 9:00 a.m. and start at Fairbanks Park on 177 Rustcraft Road. Registration will be held the morning of at 7:00 a.m.

The proceeds from the “Four on the 4th” race will benefit pediatric cancer research at the Dana Farber Institute. Naser is a patient there.

The course is USATF certified and will go through the neighborhood streets of Dedham. It will be a four-mile race with accurately marked miles and staffed water stations.

There will be awards for all age group winners. Wheelchair racers are encouraged to participate.

Post race beverages and entertainment will be offered for those in attendance.
