Discuss Dedham Square’s Future

Dedham residents are invited to a community meeting on Tuesday, January 30.

From the Town of Dedham: Dedham residents of all ages, business owners and employees—anyone with an interest in Dedham Square’s future—are invited to a community meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, in the Dedham Middle School Auditorium, 70 Whiting Ave.

Tuesday night’s community meeting will include a presentation of ideas about a vision for Dedham Square’s future, discussion of how the design of buildings and blocks play a role in that future, and opportunities for members of the public to provide input.

The meeting is being hosted by the Dedham Square Steering Committee, which engaged Gamble Associates, a respected architectural and planning firm that has worked with other communities on design guidelines to establish and documented a vision for future development.

Please attend if you have an interest in Dedham Square. Strong community engagement is very important to the success of this design guidelines effort, which will address design elements like building quality, massing, height, materials, and architectural character.
