"Enough is Enough: A Modern/Post-Modern Dance Performance" will take place on June 3rd from 2:30-3:30 at the New England Sports Academy. This performance is being presented by the Fisher School of Ballet and choreographer Cecilia Raassina. This performance will feature five short modern dance works choreographed by Cecilia Raassina and Magdalena Gyftopolous exploring the opposing themes of compassion and isolation. A discussion will follow the performance and audience members are encouraged to think about why, when, and whether they say "enough is enough" in their own lives and what sort of actions emerge from feelings of "enough is enough!". The goal with this performance is to illustrate the way that modern dance emerged as a contrast to classical movement and also where post-modern movement originated from by relating the schools of thought and movement vocabulary to the lives of the audience members, themselves. This event is free and open to the public!
