Brian Jones, Organist Emeritus of Trinity Church, Boston, will present an organ concert at the Allin Congregational Church Saturday, October 30, at 7:30 pm. He will include music for the Halloween season in his program. A feature of this concert will be a VIDEO PROJECTION SYSTEM WITH a LARGE SCREEN placed so the audience will not only be able to hear all the magnificent sounds of our Skinner pipe organ, but will be able to observe the performer up close. You will see the graceful sweep of his keyboard technique, swift pedaling, and on-the-fly changes of stops. This video projection system was a hit with the audience in 2006 when he last played at our church!
Mr. Jones appears throughout the United States presenting concerts praised for their ability to communicate the full scope and fascination of the pipe organ.
This year Brian will play audience favorites such as the William Tell Overture, selections from The Phantom of the Opera, and the famous Bach Toccata and Fugue in D minor. He comments on the pieces he plays, so that you will better understand what you will hear. We are fortunate to have Mr. Jones, a former Dedham resident, play our historic instrument.
