Vegas and Casino Charity Event

What do Marilyn Monroe, Elvis and Peter Brady have in common?

Visitors to Kings Dedham at Legacy Place will find out on Tuesday March 27, when Kings' bowling alley will transform into a Vegas Casino to benefit Journey Forward, a nonprofit organization based in Canton, Mass. that works to better the lives of those with spinal cord injuries. The evening, to feature blackjack, craps, roulette, bowling, costumed staff and more, promises to be as spectacular as it is philanthropic. Highlighting the event will be special guest emcee Christopher Knight, who played the beloved Peter Brady on the iconic "Brady Bunch" and has received more recent fame on the reality series "My Fair Brady". Additional luminaries will be added to the roster of celebrity participants leading up to the event as the Casino Night draws on the many supporters of Journey Forward in Greater Boston.

Guests should be prepared with their cameras as professional Marilyn Monroe and Elvis impersonators will be working the crowd for photo opportunities and gracing Kings' stage throughout the night with Vegas-style stage sets. "We're so honored to be the beneficiary of such an exciting night," said Dan Cummings, founder of Journey Forward. "Ten years ago, when a spinal-cord injury left me a quadriplegic, my only goal was to one day walk again. To not only do that, but to be able to help others regain the use of their limbs through Journey Forward, and to be able to support our efforts and help realize our goals with this event, is truly thrilling." Doors for the Casino Night will open at 6 p.m. Numerous ticket options are available from individual attendees to corporate sponsorships. All ticket holders will receive a free sampling of food from Kings' events menus, "funny money" to hit the tables and a chance at great prizes for the night's high rollers.

Ticket packages and event information are available at http://www.journey-forward.org. The event is strictly 21-plus.
