Fairbanks Garden Club Members Tend the Fairbanks House Garden

Volunteers brought their rakes, snippers and compost bags to tackle the gardens at the historic Fairbanks House.

Along with enjoying the colors of autumn comes the task of cleaning out the gardens and preparing the plants for winter. Recently volunteers from the Fairbanks Garden Club put on their gloves, hats and knee pads and descended on the gardens of the Fairbanks House. Armed with rakes, snippers and compost bags, the volunteers cleaned out the beds and cut back plants and shrubs. The Fairbanks Garden club tends to the gardens at the Fairbanks House from April through October.
