FOX 25 Staffers Evacuated For Hoax Bomb Threat
The Dedham-based television station had to stop broadcasting its evening news program.

DEDHAM, MA — Staff at WFXT FOX 25 were forced to abandon their newscast after their Dedham building was evacuated for a bomb hoax.
Dedham Police said they received a call around 5 p.m. that indicated bombs were at the building. The Dedham-based station tweeted at 5:20 p.m. that it was temporarily going off the air while the building was evacuated.
"Boston 25 News has been forced to stop our regular newscast due to a threat to our building," the channel's account tweeted. "We hope to be back on the air with our regular news & weather programming as soon as it’s safe to do so. Thank you for your patience."

A search of the building found no potential explosive devices. By 6:38 p.m., staff at building was let back in.
The station aired pre-recorded segments while they were off the air.

'Threat is over. All clear! Back to work. Enjoy your night,' FOX 25 reporter Bob Ward tweeted roughly 80 minutes after the station was evacuated.
State, Westwood, and MBTA police assisted Dedham officers at the scene.
The incident remains under police investigation.
