Friends of Dedham Civic Pride's Spring Gala May 4th.

The Spring Gala Committee of the Friends of Dedham Civic Pride have been hard at work planning for another fun Spring Gala at MIT Endicott House on Friday, May 4 from 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm.

The Spring Gala is the largest fundraiser that the Friends hold and it's success is key to the success of the 2018 planting season. Once again this year, Norfolk & Dedham Group is the presenting sponsor. Tim Hegarty, Jr., chairman of the board at Norfolk & Dedham Group, will be the recipient of the Dedham Civic Pride Spotlight Award.

Fine Estate of Spain will be providing the wine for the Wine Pull, where guests can go home with a world class bottle of wine for $20. Scrumptious finger foods, pasta dishes and desserts are provided by the talented chiefs at MIT Endicott House.

The Silent Auction table will be filled with gift certificates and items for local businesses. The Dedham Women's Exchange has donated a beautiful serving tray; a summer fun bundle is on the table from Hale Reservation; round trip transportation to Logan Airport from Jeff's Transportation can be bid on; gift cards from Dedham, Norwood and Medfield restaurants will also included.

With just a small amount of funding from the town, The Friends must raise the remainder of their operating budget of $100,000 through the Spring Gala Fundraiser and their membership drive. Currently the landscape staff that is underwritten by the Friends, maintains 56 pocket parks, traffic dividers and rotaries in the town along with 89 flower pots and large planters.
