Friends of Dedham Public Library to host Art in Bloom 2020

Art in Bloom - Call for Artists

The Friends of the Dedham Library will once again be hosting Art in Bloom 2020 at the main library on Church street from Wednesday, April 15th through Friday, April 17th.

Art in Bloom is open to any adult who lives and/or works in Dedham along with students from Dedham High School. Volunteers will create flower arrangements reflecting the themes and colors of some of the original artwork.

Applications for Art in Bloom are available at both branches of the library or by emailing friends.dedhamlibrary@gmail.com. There is a $25 entry fee for adults which allows for two entries into the exhibit. There is no fee for high school students. Art in painting, drawing, photography, sculpture and mixed media will be accepted. Artwork may be no larger thank 18 x 24 framed. Artwork is due Wednesday, April 1, 2020 and can be dropped off at the library from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm

The opening reception for Art in Bloom will be Wednesday, April 15th from 6:30 pm to 8:00 am. Guests will be able to vote on their favorite pieces in the show. Light refreshments will be served courtesy of The Friends of Dedham Public Library.
