In this 2 1/2 hour workshop you’ll learn the basics of glass fusing. After a series of fun exercises with colored glass pieces, glass powders and frits, stringers and glass beads, you’ll design and create a 4” x 4” dish and one 8”x 8” plate or 8” diameter bowl using the techniques learned. You will also create fused jewelry pieces. No experience necessary. Class limited to 15 students.

Michel L’Huillier studied Fine Arts and Art History in Strasbourg, France, where he discovered his love for glass. He has lived in Boston since 1995 and worked for eight years in a prominent stained glass studio. With 20 years of experience in glass work, he draws from three different techniques for architectural commissioned works: kiln-forming, fusing and stained glass. He also creates objects using fusing and sandblasting techniques. Since 2004 Michel has been sharing his passion for glass while teaching stained glass and fusing in studios and schools in the metro Boston area.
