Investigation Continues Into Human Remains Found in Dedham

Police are trying to figure out how the remains of Susan Anyanwu-Corbin ended up in Dedham

DEDHAM, MA — Investigators returned to the wooded area in Dedham where the skeletal remains of a Boston woman were found.

Police were seen looking for more evidence, according to WBZ. Last Friday, the Norfolk District Attorney's office announced that a person in the area near High Street and Brookfield Cemeterfound the remains last Tuesday.

The remains have been identified as those of 22-year-old Susan Anyanwu-Corbin. She was reported missing in February 2016. She was born in Nigeria and moved to Boston 4-5 yeas ago, the DA's office said. She had various addresses in Dorchester, Roslindale, and Hyde Park and worked in retail.

Lydia Cottrelle-Porter, a friend of Anyanwu-Corbin's, told WBZ that she last spoke to her friend in December 2015. She said her friend struggled with addiction and thinks she was kidnapped.

Authorities have not released a cause of death and don't know how Anyanwu-Corbin's body ended up in the area.
