James Joyce Ramble: Runner Sets New Record for Women Over 60

Sunday’s James Joyce Ramble was a huge success, as expected.

The annual 10K footrace, a Dedham tradition, is a course that takes place while people read out loud from the Irish novelist James Joyce’s books.

California native Christine Kennedy, who is also Irish, established a new 10K record for women over 60 with a finish of 39:26.

Seventy-year-old Jan Holmquist broke the F70 record with a completion time of 45:19 (chip).

Amos Sang, with a time of 30:03, took the men’s open race, Level Runner reported.
