Suntan lotion, bug spray, beach towels, shovels and pails - just some of the items on a summer supply list. Make sure you also include summer reading books on your list! To help you find some good reads at bargain prices visit The Friends of the Dedham Public Library's June Book sale on Saturday, June 9th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Main Library at 43 Church Street.
There are shelves full of current best sellers in a variety of topics. Along with hardcover and paperback books, you can also find CD's, DVD's and children's books at great discounted prices.
The Friends of the Dedham Public Library, a 501(c)3 non profit, hold several book sales through the year. The funds raised from the Book Sales underwrite the Museum Pass program that so many Dedham residents enjoy. The Museum Pass programs allows families to visit local museums at a discounted rate. Currently there are 19 museums and attractions that are available through the Museum Pass Program. Ten of those passes are funded through The Friends while others are sponsored by local businesses.

The Friends also fund many of the fun and exciting programs that are held at the library. In February the Friends sponsored the Princess Party; in April, Mr G. musical entertainment came to the library along with a copper bookmark making workshop for adults. When you stop at the book sale, check out the new bee hive in the Children's Room. This was also funded by The Friends.
