Kid-Friendly Fun in Dedham

The is once again continuing its summer reading program for kids.

Last week, the program, which also focuses on educational activities, brought in Teacher Creatures to introduce nearly 80 kids to animals they've never seen before.

Kids can also hit the playgrounds this summer with Dedham Parks and Recreation.

Last week, kids of all ages mobbed the for the annual Bike Rodeo with music, plenty of giveaways and free helmets for the kids.

The event, organized by the and , is a way to teach bicycle safety.

Programs, games and field trips are planned through the end of summer at , and . Major upcoming days include Foam Day on Aug. 3 at the and visiting Canobie Lake Park on Aug. 17.
