Kitten On Highway Rescued By State Trooper
The six-week-old kitten was found on I-93 in Canton and taken to the Dedham Animal Care and Adoption Center.

DEDHAM, MA — A six-week-old kitten suffering from heat exhaustion was saved by a state trooper last month.
On June 13, Massachusetts State Police Trooper John DeNapoli received a report of a kitten laying on a median on Interstate 93 in Canton. The kitten, now named Trooper, was frothing at the mouth and panting when he found him. He also had lacerations and ants across his body, according to the Animal Rescue League.
Trooper was transported to the Dedham Animal Care and Adoption Center, where workers had to treat the kitten's injuries and lower his body temperature, which was at 106 degrees.
