Mediterranean Restaurant Coming To Dedham

DEDHAM, MA — For those looking for Mediterranean food on the go, a new restaurant is opening up in Dedham.

Last week, the selectmen approved the common victualler license for Cava Mezze Grill, to be located at 724 Legacy Pl. Megan Harvey, the regional manager for the restaurant, told the selectmen that the location is among a handful they plan on opening in the state next year.

"We're really excited we're coming to the Boston area and this is one the locations we're looking forward to being approved for," she said.

Originally from the Washington D.C.-Maryland-Virginia area, Cava Mezze Grill is a quick-service restaurant where all the bowls and dishes are made in front of the customer. Selectmen Chairman Dennis Teehan Jr., who is a doctor, said he is excited about the restaurant due to the health benefits associated with a Mediterranean diet.

Cava Mezze Grill is aiming to open in either March or April 2018.
