Michelle Smith Appointed Principal of Ursuline Academy
President Rosann M. Whiting welcomes Michelle Smith as principal Ursuline Academy in Dedham.

Dedham, MA - Rosann M. Whiting, President of Ursuline Academy in Dedham, announced that she has appointed Michelle Smith as Principal. Ms. Smith, who has a deep background in music education and in Catholic school administration, was selected from a field of highly qualified candidates. After beginning her career as a music teacher and director at St. Sebastian’s School in Needham, Ms. Smith moved into administrative roles at Connelly School of the Holy Child in Potomac, MD and Notre Dame Preparatory School in Towson, MD. Most recently she served as Executive Director at Health Care Without Walls in Wellesley, MA. She has a BA in Music Education from Ithaca College School of Music and an MA in Music Performance and Education from the New England Conservatory of Music. She also holds a Masters Certificate in Leadership and Supervision from Johns Hopkins University.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Ursuline Academy community, and to continuing and expanding the tradition of academic excellence established by the Ursuline Sisters. My goal is to help our students, teachers, and administrators develop to their fullest potential,” said Ms. Smith.
