Multiple Break-ins Reported at Boch Ice Center

Police in Dedham are reminding residents to lock their doors and hide their valuables after a series of break-ins at the Boch Ice Center.

DEDHAM, MA — Residents in Dedham are being reminded to take precautions with their vehicles after a series of reported break-ins over the weekend.

On Sunday, thieves entered four cars in the parking lot of the Boch Ice Center. One of the cars was unlocked and the other three were entered after breaking windows, according to police.

Due to the thefts, the Dedham Police Department is advising residents to lock their vehicles and store valuables in the trunk.

“We strongly urge all residents to always lock their vehicles, whether you are parked in a commercial lot or at home,” Chief Michael d’Entremont said in a release. “We have seen numerous vehicle break-ins recently and the only way to deter thieves is to make sure the doors are locked and anything valuable is out of sight.”

If the public sees anything out of the ordinary or finds that any of their belongings have been stolen from their vehicle, they are encouraged to call the Dedham Police Department at 781-751-9338.
