New Dedham Mexican Restaurant Aiming For Summer Opening

DEDHAM, MA — The new restaurant moving into the spot once occupied by Wicked Restaurant and Wine Bar is hoping to be in Dedham for the long haul.

During a recently hearing for a liquor license transfer to Temazcal Tequila Cantina, representatives told the selectmen that they have signed a 10-year lease for the area next to the entrance of Showcase Cinemas de Lux.

Manager David Doyle comes to Dedham with experience that includes time at Hilton, Smith and Wolinkski Steakhouse, and Temazcal Tequila’s Seaport location.

Doyle told the board that the establishment is an upscale Mexican restaurant. The Legacy Place website describes the establishment as a "vibrant Mexican restaurant and tequila bar that has welcomed guests to enjoy its upscale Mexican cuisine, warm hospitality and attentive service for years." The bar is complimented by an award winning craft cocktail program and over 200 tequilas, according to the website.

The new restaurant is aiming for an August opening.
