ICYMI: New Victory Grille Aims for Local Feel in Dedham

In case you missed it and are in need of a fun night out in Dedham, check out Victory Grille which opened earlier this week:

After much anticipation, Victory Grille has opened for business in Dedham.

Located at 223 Elm Street, the new restaurant features American bar and tavern-style fare with more than 54 flat screens for optimum beer and ball game action.

The bar is owned by Spero and Barbra Deamantopoulos who are also behind The 50’s Diner. Fellow owner and partner George Deamantopoulos told Patch.com that their goal is to create a local hangout for Dedham residents.

“We’re trying to be a little more non-corporate,” Deamantopoulos said.”We just want to have a local bar for people to hang out and feel more at home. We’re trying to make a little nicer food and to give back to the community.”

Victory Grille will be taking a location formally occupied by Buca Di Beppo, which is owned by Planet Hollywood Corporate. Deamantopoulos believes that the new restaurant can provide what the customer wants.

“We can provide what the customer wants product and food wise,“ Deamantopoulos added. “I spoke to a lot of people about what they didn’t like about the old place. They said that they didn’t like it because it was a chain and said the food was ‘mehh.’”

In addition to the flat screens, Victory Grille can hold functions for between 10 and 300 people. However, Deamantopoulos added that the goal is to create a fun and local atmosphere for all ages.

“We just want to be a fun local sports bar for people to hang out,” Deamantopoulos said in summation. ”We want to make it a family place with a fun atmosphere.”
