While at the Pantry, Register O’Donnell had a chance to view the operation. “It’s quite impressive. You can feel and see all the hard work that goes into making this venture a success.”
The Wellesley Food Pantry opened its doors in July of 1989. Today it serves approximately 200 households per month, comprising 400 people. One-third of the people who are served by the Pantry are children.
Register O’Donnell concluded, “Winter is the toughest season to balance a family’s budget, given home heating cost and school vacations. A food donation can mean a great deal to a family during this time of year. ”
