Open Market in Dedham Square Granted Extended Stay Through Fall
The Board of Selectmen voted to allow the open market in Dedham Square to continue through the last Sunday in October.

DEDHAM, MA — The Dedham Sunday Open Market in Dedham Square is going on past the summer and into the fall.
Thursday night, the Board of Selectmen voted to allow the open market in Dedham Square to continue through the last Sunday in October. The last day of the season will be Oct. 30.
Amy Haelsen, Executive Director of Dedham Square Circle, told the board that despite a delay in the start due to the weather, the weekly market has been a success. The group has received 110 applications of interest and there are usually 10-15 vendors a week, with a high of 24.

“We’re very pleased with how it’s going and we need to keep the momentum going to build interest. It’s a tricky time to do something, a lot of people are away. We are excited for post-Labor Day and we think it’s going to be bigger than is has been,” Haelsen said.
So far there have been no major issues with the event and anticipated issues with parking have not happened, Haelsen said.

The Dedham Sunday Open Market runs every Sunday through the end of October from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
