Parent recommendation: Courtyard Learning Center

Dear Fellow Parents,

I am writing to make you aware of a new early childhood education option in Dedham: Courtyard Learning Center. Some of you may be familiar with its sister facility located on East St., Courtyard Daycare. They have recently expanded to offer preschool education to children 2.9 – 5+ years old. My son attended the daycare since he was 10.5 months old and recently transitioned to the preschool. They are open from 7:30am – 5:30pm, which is very convenient for working parents. Many preschool facilities are open only for a few short hours during the day, forcing working parents to look for additional care before and after school. With Courtyard’s extended hours, there is no need to worry about this. Since they are so closely affiliated with the daycare just 2 doors down, I am able to drop my younger daughter and my son off at the same location, and he is escorted by a teacher to the preschool. I like knowing that they are close by each other and sometimes interact during the day, while at the same time, they each are in age specific educational settings.

Since starting at the preschool, my son has shown advancement in his letter recognition and is learning how to write his name. He enjoys the weekly themes, and this has allowed his creativity to flourish. I attribute this to his excellent teachers. Both of the preschool teachers have degrees in Education and years of experience working with young children.

With both the daycare and the preschool, I have found an extremely low turnover of staff, allowing my children to bond with their educators and caregivers. Since my son started at the daycare and moved over to the preschool, he still sees the same caregivers on a daily basis. This is rare in the world of childcare.

I highly recommend Courtyard Learning Center to any parent looking for a nurturing preschool for their child. The education and experience level of the Courtyard teachers, the extended hours and convenient affiliation with their sister daycare make it a wonderful place to educate your young children!
