Police Seek Suspects Wanted for 40 Car Breaks in Dedham
Investigators say the suspects are breaking into unlocked cars during the early morning hours.

Police in Dedham are searching for the crooks responsible for 40 vehicle breaks over the course of recent weeks. The same suspects have been pinpointed for 10 breaks in Brookline as well.
Investigators say the suspects are breaking into unlocked cars during the early morning hours, stealing everything in sight and flipping the items for cash.

Rich Porro of the Dedham Police Department told FOX25 News, “Twice in early June we had one incident, 20 vehicles in one night. Then about a week later, we had another 15 to 20 in a different area of town.”
In Brookline, police say the thieves preyed on cars parked in private driveways and stole credit cards. They then used the cards to purchase MBTA Charlie Cards to sell for shorter money.

After the Dedham police compared surveillance photos with police in Brookline, investigators concluded the same suspects were responsible for all 50 break-ins.
