Roadworthy To Bring Food Truck Offerings To Dedham

Who says you need to order food truck dishes from an actual truck?

DEDHAM, MA — A new restaurant in Dedham is hoping to provide the experience of food trucks without having to round up a group of vehicles and finding a place for them to park.

Last week, the selectmen approved the common victualler license for Roadworthy, to be located at 125 Washington Street. Restaurant owners Geoff and Laurie Janowski told the board that they are aiming for a June 13 opening.

The two have decades of experience in the restaurant business since they met while working at Wellesey Country Club. Geoff Janowski said he spent the last 20 years working at Blue Ribbon BBQ.

Unlike other restaurants, Roadworthy hopes to offer the foods usually seen at food truck festivals.

“What we did is encompass a lot of that variety under one root. You’ll get many options and colors with a fun atmosphere to eat,” Geoff Janowski said.

Board members commented on the creativity of the menu, calling it unique.

“This is awesome. It’s so different and unique and I think that’s what’s great about Dedham, so many unique restaurants,” Selectman Dennis Keough said.

The restaurant will have 18 seats.

When it opens, Roadworthy will operate Tuesday-Sunday, 7 a.m.-8 p.m.
