South Carolina Man Living in Dedham Charged in Two Natick Mall Shoplifting Cases

DEDHAM, MA — A South Carolina man whose lawyer says is living in Dedham faces charges in two alleged shopliting cases in Natick.
Jason Wayne Hanning, 43, was arrested on Sept. 28 and faces charges of larceny of over $250 and shoplifting over $100, according to the Metrowest Daily News. He was released on his own personal recognizance following his arraignment in Natick District Court.
Police say Hanning was involved in two shoplifting cases at the Natick Mall. On July 4, he allegedly stole a $1,900 Microsoft Surface from the Microsoft store. On Sept. 28, workers at the mall's Apple Store called police after they said they saw someone steal a $200 Apple TV.

Hanning, who is listed as a South Carolina resident, actually lives in Dedham, his attorney said. He is due back in court on Nov. 4.
