Stolen Car, Larceny, And More: Dedham Police Log

July 3

9:52 a.m. - A larceny from a home was reported on Clough Road.

July 4

4:50 a.m. - A stolen car was reported on Colburn Street.

July 5

9:34 p.m. - A group of kids setting off fireworks at the Oakdale School was reported. The group told police that an older man and woman were setting off fireworks. Police were unable to locate the two.

July 7

1:04 p.m. - A shoplifter was reported at a store on Route 1. The incident then escalated into a physical confrontation. The manager of the store was advised to be a good witness and leave the physical apprehension to the police.

July 9

7:00 p.m. - William Simmons, 34, was arrested at Staples on Route 1 and charged with larceny over $250.
