Study: Dedham is Among Most Irish Towns in Massachusetts

If St. Patrick’s Day seemed a little more festive in Dedham than in other places around Massachusetts, that might be due to the fact that the town is one of the most Irish in the state.

According to a study by NerdWallet.com using U.S. Census Bureau data, Dedham has the sixth highest percentage of residents with Irish heritage with 36.2 percent.

Nearby Norwood (34.8 percent) ranked 12th and Needham (26.6 percent) ranked 33rd.
