Sunday "Cut-A-Thon" to Benefit Fallen Boston Firefighters Fund
All proceeds of $25 haircuts at Keldara in Dedham on May 4 will go to the Lt. Walsh-Firefighter Kennedy Memorial Fund.
A Dedham hair salon will host a special "cut-a-thon" this weekend to benefit the families of two Boston firefighters killed in the line of duty.
Boston Fire Lt. Ed Walsh and Firefighter Michael Kennedy died in the line of duty while battling a nine-alarm fire in Back Bay on Wednesday, March 26.
The tragedy hit close to home for Kariana Massarelli, a stylist at Dedham's Keldara Salon and Spa, who is married to a Boston firefighter stationed at Ladder 26 on Huntington Avenue in Boston.

Massarelli said she was inspired to organize the upcoming fundraiser to run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Keldara on Sunday, May 4.
All cuts will be $25, cash or check, with proceeds going to the Lt. Walsh-Firefighter Kennedy Memorial Fund.
