Tesla Motors Opens Up Shop in Dedham
The new dealership is located on the Providence Highway.

A brand new Tesla Motors showroom and service center opened its doors for business Friday morning in Dedham. The opening marks the third dealership to set up shop in Massachusetts.
Tesla is renowned for their custom-built, electric cars. According to the Boston Herald, 200 cars were delivered to the Dedham location in the recent months ahead of the opening.

The new location replaced the former Owen Motors Lincoln dealer on the Providence Highway.
Customers will have the choice to choose from the inventory on the lot or place a custom order. Custom orders can take a couple of months to complete.

Tesla already has a retail showroom in Natick. The Herald describes the Dedham location as more of a “traditional” dealership. They say the showroom has a “Apple Store” feel.
Supercharger stations and service facilities are scattered across the state. Tesla’s spokesman Will Nicholas tells the Herald the company is crafting plans to build a dealership in the North Shore area.
