Third Annual Dedham Trails Day Celebration A Success

DEDHAM, Ma. July 8, 2015 – On behalf of Dedham Trails we would like to thank everyone for helping to make Dedham Trails Day a great success! Participants enjoyed the diversity of organizations and activities offered throughout the day. Attendees enjoyed the 5k trail run and the Tri-Adventure race, demoing kayaks, canoes, SUPs, and learning about L.L.Bean’s outdoor discovery schools, the Water Trail and local environmental organizations. We had a perfect day with delicious food and beverages generously donated by Kings, Whole Foods Market, Costco, J.P. Licks and Shake Shack.

Dedham Trails Day was a wonderful celebration of Dedham’s natural resources and through L. L. Bean’s free demos we were able to get numerous people out on the Charles River trying new activities and enjoying its splendor. There were many activities for both children and adults to enjoy promoting healthy and active lifestyles and information about our natural environment. None of this would have been possible without the hard work and dedication from our volunteers at Encounter Church, Dedham Park and Recreation, Dedham Sustainability Committee, and our partners - L.L. Bean, NewBridge on the Charles, and Legacy Place.
