Town Meeting Approves New Public Safety Building
The fire and police departments will soon have a new home at the site of the current Town Hall.

DEDHAM, MA — Police officers and firefighters in Dedham will soon have a new home.
Monday night, Special Town Meeting approved $45 million for a combined public safety building at the site of the current Town Hall tops the warrant. The price includes the demolition of Town Hall and construction of the new building.
The plan calls for a new 49,200-square-foot building that includes equipment areas, bays for fire trucks, administration and operations space for police and fire, living quarters for the fire department, according to past discussions.
