Train Station Bike Thief Caught: Dedham Police

Police said the arrest may be connected to an ongoing investigation into several other bike thefts at the train station.

DEDHAM, MA — A Franklin man was arrested after police said they caught him trying to steal a bike at the Endicott Commuter Rail Station.

A little after 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, police said they caught Ryan Saegesser, 34, taking a bike and other property that didn't belong to him. Saegesser was seen taking bolt cutters out of his backpack and cutting the chain on the bike, according to police. The chain also locked a helmet and a backpack on the railing.

According to police, a 34-year-old woman from Stow was also charged. She will be summoned to Dedham District court after police said she acted as Saegesser's lookout.
