Truck Occupants Trapped By Falling Wires

DEDHAM, MA — A truck driver and at least one passenger had a scary moment while driving in Dedham Thursday morning.

While on Allied Drive during the storm, the driver's truck became entangled in electric wires after a pole fell on the truck, according to the Dedham Police Department.

The occupants were trapped in the truck until Eversource was able to turn off electric power. They were able to safely exit the vehicle afterwards.

No injuries were reported.

Dedham and the area area dealing with the effects of a snow storm only days after Friday's nor'easter. The heavy snow has increased the chances of falling wires and trees.

On the outage front, just under 600 homes in Dedham are without power just before 1 p.m. Thursday, according to Eversource.
