Veterans Road Playground Fundraising Nearing Goal

Funded with no taxpayer money, the Dedham Youth Commission and Ripples of Hope have a goal about $60,000.

DEDHAM, MA — A project to help upgrade the Veterans Road playground is nearly two-thirds to its goal.

Funded with no taxpayer money, the Dedham Youth Commission and Ripples of Hope have a goal about $60,000, according to the Boston Globe. The project received a large boost from a $15,000 grant from KaBOOM! and a $10,000 donation from Ripples of Hope.

Most of the contributions have been under $250 according to Ripples of Hope program director Marcia Robinson. The upgrade could start as early as this spring.
