Wear RED! Tell Board of Selectmen to STOP Pipeline

Come to the Board of Selectmen meeting on Wednesday, June 10th at 6:00 PM at Town Hall and tell them to rescind permits issued.

Dear Dedham Neighbors,

On Wednesday, June 10th, join other concerned residents in attending the Board of Selectmen meeting at 6:00 PM at Town Hall to show your opposition to the proposed gas pipeline.

Ask that the Board of Selectmen rescind permits issued for the installation of a high pressured fracked gas pipeline through our town. Ask that the Board of Selectmen seek appropriate legal counsel and seek out appropriate measures to stop the pipeline.

The pipeline will traverse from Westwood through Dedham Corporate Center, down Rustcraft Street, Route 1, across Gonzalez Field, and down the residential neighborhood of East Street as it continue down Washington Street towards West Roxbury. The pipeline will end in a compressing station across from Boston’s only blasting quarry approximately 1 mile outside of Dedham’s borders.

Dedham gets no positive benefits from the pipeline. None of the gas traveling through this pipeline will ever serve the town of Dedham. Installation of a gas pipeline is known to lower property values. There are also known health costs to residents associated with the gas and toxins. The burdensome months of construction will also likely have an economic cost for local businesses.

Wear red and be heard.

Sincerely,
