When is the First Day of School in Dedham?

Believe it or not, the first day of school is just a few short weeks away!

So when is the first day of school for Dedham Public School students?

The first day of school is set for Wednesday, Sept. 2.

School be closed on Monday, Sept. 7 in observance of Labor Day.

Here are some other important 2015-2016 dates for Dedham Public School students:

• Sept. 4: Early release day
• Oct. 9: Early release day
• Oct. 12 - No school Columbus Day
• Nov. 11: No school - Veterans Day holiday
• Nov. 26 & 27: Thanksgiving break
• Dec. 24: Holiday break begins
• Jan. 4: Students return from holiday break
• Feb. 15: Break from classes through the 19th begins
• Apr. 18: Break from classes through the 22nd begins
• Jun. 15: Last day of school
