Woman Charged with Assaulting MBTA Conductor at Readville Station
Police say Emma Bloom of Sharon attacked a conductor after refusing to pay a train fare.

READVILLE, MA — A Sharon women attacked a train conductor after refusing to pay a fare, police said.
Emma Bloom, 23, was arrested Monday night and charged with assault and battery, assault with a dangerous weapon, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, according to MBTA police.
At about 10 p.m. transit police officers received a report of a disorderly person at the Readville station near the Dedham-Hyde Park line. Upon arrival officers, the train's conductor told police that Bloom had refused to pay the fare. After Bloom was informed that she would have to pay or exit the train, she allegedly attacked the conductor by, kicking, punching and biting him. Police say Bloom's assault produced a folding knife and she threatened to stab the conductor.

Bloom is scheduled to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court Tuesday.
